Students and credits interchange signed agreement with sister universities in abroad for a period of 1 or 2 semesters to send students or accommodate foreign students to our school.

Students and credits interchange staff have signed the agreement with foreign exchange university for a period of 1 or 2 semesters to send students or accommodate foreign students to our school

Requirements

Exchange students shall pay tuition at their home institution and then have the tuition waived at the host institution.

Exchange students shall agree to abide by all the rules and regulations of the host institution and host country.

Each application should be approved and sent with the officiation nomination letter by the international office of the home university. The application materials from the applicants themselves will not be accepted.

We are going to issue the < Letter of Invitation > and < Certificate of Admission > after receiving the original copy of Application material.

The host institution shall provide exchange students with academic guidance, counseling, and student support services.

Language Proficiency Required

Students who intend to take the courses conducted in Korean need to have a minimum level 2 in TOPIK(Test Of Proficiency In Korean) or the other equivalent Korean skills.

Students who intend to only take the courses conducted in English need to have an English proficiency score with iBT TOEFL 70 or TOEIC 700 or IELTS 5.0.(Only for ESL students)

VISA

Exchange students should apply for the D-2-6 Visa (Visa for exchange student) at the Consulate of Korea in each country with < Certificate of Admission > and < Letter of invitation > issued by Catholic University of Daegu and other documents which is required.

The most important documents are < Certificate of Admission > and < Letter of invitation >. DCU will send the original copy after reviewing students’ application documents.

Health insurance

Exchange students must have the valid Health insurance during their stay in DCU. You can buy it from home country or buy it when you arrive in DCU.

- Spring Semester 2017 : December 15th, 2016.(application material should be arrive by the deadline.)

- All subjects(Depends on applicants language proficiency)
- Students are free to take courses regardless of their major and grade.
- At the first semester, international office will help to register for students’ courses.
- At the second semester, students should register for their courses at the webpage by themselves.

Students who have never been disqualified for overseas travel or gone against school regulations students who have never been sent for exchange program

1 year (2 semesters) dispatch - 2nd ~ 5th semester students, and students on leave-standard support point

6 months (1 semester) dispatch - 2nd ~ 6th semester students and students on leave-standard support point

Support Qualifications and University Main Support

Students should have more than 12 credits and average of above 80 points without F grade or giving up credits in the previous semester before application

English speaking criteria : iBT TOEFL above 71 points or IELTS above 6.0

Registration fees and Scholarship

The registration fees must be paid to Catholic University of Daegu for the period that you are going to be an exchange student

Air fare, Visa application fees, Boarding fees, Insurance, Text books, and Passport control costs, will be the expense on the student (there might be extra expenses depending on the university

Foreign exchange students scholarship(one selected student is paid only once irrespective of the dispatch period
